WATER ENGINES www.aurhydropower.co.uk equipment to harness low head hydropower. This includes both rivers & tidal. The latter could be a much more predictable energy source than wind power in the shallow waters of the UK's East Coast. On rivers it could be used to direct drive heat pumps (no electrics required) and extract heat from the water for building heating. (Similar to the 1932 Escher Wyss installation in Switzerland)
