UK wind farms are an interesting combination of investment subsidies and potential “write offs” against

tax liabilities. In essence the whole cost of such projects is ultimately borne by the tax payer. Who is further

mulcted for VAT on the electrical energy purchased, while much of the latter is lost down the often long transmission systems from wind farm to user. Long term is may be that the best application for offshore wind farms is Hydrogen production.

Meantime the very considerable energy potential of all roof areas, river and inshore tidal hydro ,biofuels, and waste disposal by digestion or incineration is to a great extent under developed.

Herein lies an enormous potential for UK Industry and Commerce.
